Veterinary Technician Supervisor (Veterinary Nurse Supervisor) at Arya Animal Acupuncture

Arya Animal Acupuncture is seeking an experienced veterinary technician (veterinary nurse) to join our small but growing practice as a veterinary nurse supervisor.

About Us

Arya Animal Acupuncture is a 1 doctor veterinary practice focusing on integrative medicine (a blend of holistic and traditional medicine). We have been an exclusively mobile/in-home practice for 7 years and are now moving into a brick and mortar state. We continue to provide mobile/in-home services alongside our local practice in Glenview, IL.

To provide exceptional, 360 veterinary care for our patients through the integration of western and eastern medicine, exceptional communication within our team and with the pet parents, and education of our team and pet parents alike.

Position Requirements/Preferences

• minimum 3 years experience as a veterinary technician/nurse
• CVT preferred
• leadership/administrative experience preferred

Integrative/holistic medicine knowledge NOT required - we will train the right candidate.

Veterinary Nurse Supervisor Duties

Veterinary nurse duties including/not limited to:

• appointment assisting
• pharmacy duties
• in-house lab duties
• phlebotomy
• surgical assisting
• anesthesia administration/maintenance/monitoring
• administration of a variety of injections/medications as directed by the veterinarian
• drug calculations
• fill in reception as needed
• client education
• laser therapy/alternative therapy administration

Supervisory duties including/not limited to:

• training/mentorship of support staff/veterinary technician interns
• participation in the development of hospital policies and SOPs
• inventory management
